10R80 service coming up: what's the hole size ID for the dipstick?

I'm going to drop the pan and replace it with a PPE aluminum pan, new filter, and fluid.

I want to fill the tranny from the engine bay by snaking a tube from the dipstick hole, up to the engine bay and stick a funnel on the top of that tube.

Will a 3/8" OD tube fit in the dipstick hole?

I'm not concerned with the draining. I'm drilling a hole kin the OEM pan since I'm replacing it with a PPE pan.

I want to FILL the tranny back up with a long tube going up to the engine bay, so I think a 3/8 diamater tube will work?

From memory, that will have more than enough room. The fitting from my MBS dipstick kit is a #8. So, you should be able to fit a 1/2" tube in there.

i fill it with the pump. way easier.

the video uses the 3/8 inner diameter 1/2 in outside typical clear hose and it jams in very good.

i have a tapered nipple i stab in and just use the pump. waaaaaaay faster....thenmake a mess re capping and adjusting....dont have the process down as i have only done a few.
