My 99 Ranger with 4.0 is lifted with 33's with an automatic and I get 24 on the highway at 75 mph. I get a little over 20 on the highway towing one of my 16 ft flats boats. I go a little over 400 miles between fill ups. If you want gas milage get a gas sipper and don't drive it far. Go to KBB.com and see what that vehicle is vauled at and read reveiws about it.
i believe you about your mpg.
but, you bring your truck here, tank up and run back and forth from my house to detroit everyday for a week....allhiway at that....you will probably get 17-19.
while theres several reasons for that, i will bet on it. its a very safe bet.
what i offer is a basic install if you buy two doners, so i get one for my b2
He want's 12k for it and claims 30mpg. MPG seems a little high to me. Mabey with 4.56s.... Has an ATS trans for whatever thats worth. There's no way In the world I could get one for 5500 having to pay for labor. I can't find a 4bt for less than $2500 and I'd want to pay at least that on a nice doner.
If it was 10k and actually got 30mpg I'd seriously be thinking about buying it.
I just need a truck for work and I want somthing I can drive across the country and not get raped at the pump. A 4bt ranger is the only vehicle I can think of that would fill both needs well. I want a ext cab that can get me 30mpgs
that ats trans was probably 5 grand so 10 grand he needs to break even i am guessing...bummer there.
between our two locations i seen/was notified by others actually, theres a guy/place with several running 4bt grummans for about 1800 each.
upon inspection to see if they are junk or not this could be a great deal.
contingent on whether or not those trucks in the ad are anygood, i was willing to do the labor to construct you a base worktruck if you bought two so i could have one for my b2. maybe dude would let two go for 1450 each or something.
you seem to have a fleet of rbv and assumed one of those was the intended doner.
