I am looking at a Maverick because it will do everything that my '88 single cab 4x4 will do and the whole family will fit in it. I think either the Tremor package or an FX4 with a 2" lift and some AT tires will be more than enough to get me around in the winter, I would be shocked it if was not MORE capable than my '88... and it's just a tiny bit bigger/longer.
I looked at a couple new Rangers too but they are huge. My F150 feels more nimble in tight spaces... I have better visibility in my extended cab, long box F250 than I did driving a crew cab Ranger. Driving the new Ranger felt like sitting inside an airplane and looking out those tiny little windows.
