Ok first off let me say that I know a lot of us on here are not really fond of Jeeps but I thought that this idea would spark some attention and discussion.

A co-worker of mine has a 87 Jeep Cherokee that is worn slap out as far as powertrain. his brother has a 85( I think) Ranger 2.8 4X4 that he only uses to haul trash off since he can't get a title for it for some reason, I am guessing the dump is only a short distance. The brother wants a small trailer for this task instead of the truck. My buddy wants to trade him a trailer for the truck and it sounds like the deal will happen.

The idea is that since my buddy and I are Ford fans and we both love the TTB suspention why not just put the Jeep body on the Ranger frame to make, as he calls it, a Jeep Ranger Classic. I know, why do this? Well as I stated he cant get a title for the Ranger and he likes the Jeep body but it has a worn out powertrain. Plus the Jeep has a title. In later stages of completion it would wind up with a newer Jeep 4.0 but for the time being it would be the 2.8 Ford.

You got to understand too that both of us are "junkers" from way back. We will use whatever we have on hand to get the job done sometimes, other times just to be different. Biggest reason most times is due to lack of funds though. Anyhow...like I kidded around with him, at least he would be making the Jeep a better vehicle just by having the Blue Oval parts on it.

Any thoughts???? Hmmmm?
