Got my new to me 2003 ford escape 4x4 to temporarily replace out of commission 87 ranger with a bad rod bearing. Had to comfort my ranger by sitting in it for the customary 20 minutes it gets from my commute to work and back a day. Poor girl she's all tore up about it. I told her she's the only one for me and it was just till the replacment heart was available. Until then on full time life support. 😢

If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
Used it as a mobile repair truck again but his time for an idiot friend that was already told the vehicle was unsafe to drive but drove and let friend drive it.

Darn piece meal job because my physical condition doesn't allow it all to be done in a day. At least. I make sure the vehicle can not move when I leave it so no one is put in danger again till it is fixed.

I finished detailing the exterior of the 2011 yesterday and installed an air dam on the roof rack for the 2019 to see if it fixes the whistle issue.

One thing I hate about the rack companies is that they give next to no guidance on proper sizing of air dams. The one I bought didn't cover the area like I thought it would and the measurements they provided were a bit misleading. On the plus side, it will work for the rear set of bars, worse comes to worse. There is a minor whistle issue with the rear bars but not like there is with the front set.

I had the same issue with Rhino Rack before Thule. So it seems to not be just one manufacturer. I'll get it sorted out but I hate not finding a proper solution the first time.

Finally got the last two new tires and a pile of front suspension parts for my F-150 so it can continue to serve the Ranger.

F150 👨‍🔧 < RANGER

OK first thought was an F150 bowing to a Ranger but for obvious reasons.... like me... there is no emoji bowing. But my heart was in the right place.

I put the 2011 to work. 1,350# of retaining wall block. The new suspension handled it well.

The air dam for the 2019 wasn’t big enough. Just as I thought. I moved the air dam to the back set to see how it does with them. The coverage looks right. The front set of bars are removed for now until I can get their next size up (and biggest) and give it a try.

Got the timing set to where it needs to be was running great. Even gave a foxbody a good run. I cant wait to get that new 3rd gear in. But yet again its hesitating when flat to the floor after running it for a lil. I couldn't imagine its time for plugs already.

Lead follow or get out of my way
I did nothing to my Ranger today... except haul a couple more things to my daughters and finish her raised flower beds.

I have BIG plans for tomorrow though. lol... I've had plans for months to work on my truck. Something always gets in the way.

I'm hoping for an oil change... tire rotation... clean/inspect/adjust the rear brakes... finish painting my skid plate... and swap my rear bumper back to the factory bumper so I can finally get my tire carrier in motion.

I aired up the tires on the '90 today, and put another ~70 miles on the '97 on 3 trips to town today to get belts for the little David Bradley walk behind tractor today... took 3 tries for the drive belt and 2 tries for the mower belt, which is more annoying when you are about 12 miles from the nearest store...

On that note I have around 9000 miles on the '97 Ranger since I started driving it in December, it's now over 150k miles and now that it's warmer it's almost to 24mpg.

Sanded and primed the hood on my 88. And messed around with my wife’s name on the hood. Just for fun.

I get two bits of information from this post:
1) You named your truck Autumn. Nice name for a truck.
2) You're married to your truck.
