I completely missed this. Please provide photo evidence with dead chicken. soup, and pickle.

Come to think of it, please review TRS site rules before providing the pickle aspect.

(Seriously interested in Atlanta)

Took some pretty good body damage in an automatic wash tunnel.

Was going through the brushes and felt a jolt, like a truck hit me in the rear side.

Oasis Express Wash on W. Tennessee St. (US 90) in Tallahassee, Fla. Attendants took photos, wrote some stuff down and gave me their boss's phone number. Asked me to come back Monday. Was about 5:30 PM and they said the manager had gone home and he was the only one with access to the cameras. We shall see. Worst case I have comp and collision, and a lawyer who will be glad to subpoena their camera footage.

So my red 92 now has a one-piece rear driveshaft...

one broken socket. One new driveshaft removal tool damaged. Few beers (lubrication). Had a disagreement with the rivets, ground the heads off for the carrier bearing mount attached to the crossmember and couldn’t get them to beat out. Of course, there’s not much room to swing under there without a lift. Really would have liked to have gone at them with the torch but with the gas tank right there...I went for the grinder. Looks like without that bracket there is plenty of clearance to the crossmember so I should be good.

Turns out the shaft I took out had a bad U-joint in addition to the carrier bearing being worn. Now the truck sounds and feels different. Thinking it’s probably the mud tires at this point but might take a few days to get used to the different sound so I can work out what I’m hearing.

That is unfortunate, but I don't see a big crease, go insurance route first but I'm pretty sure if you put a 2x4 at the body line, angled back and pushed that dent would come 99% out without anything further... You should've seen the dent in the drivers door of my wife's Explorer when her dad backed into it... that unfortunately had some creases but it isn't too bad...

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Took the 2011 to a car wash to clean the road salt off of it.

Have we not learned that car washes are bad?
Works great in the winter. Warm weather months, they get washed in the driveway. Depending on how you look at it, car washes are more environmentally friendly. They recycle the water into a nice salt brine over time.

Planned on replacing the right upper control arm but then I could see that the strut was broken. Should still be on warranty so I will call the shop on Monday.

In Germany you are not aloes to was your car in your driveway, against her law. You must go to a car wash so any dirt or oil or whatever doesn’t end up in tree ground.
