I’ve been trying to find a Dana 35 ttb with 4.10 gears and I’m only finding the 3.73. Does it really matter or make a huge difference?

All depends on what you're trying to do - 4.10s in the rear and 3.73s in the front will be a huge problem. They need to match.

Small tires and no technical trail use will be fine with 3.73s. You will have more control over your vehicle on technical offroad things with 4.10s. Things spin slower thus you have more time to react with deeper gears.

If you do a lot of highway driving, 3.73s will probably increase your gas mileage a bit.

For driving mostly around town or off-road the 4.10 would be better
At higher speeds the 3.73 gets better MPG

But as said, in a 4x4, front and rear axle ratios MUST MATCH, no maybe, it's a MUST MATCH, period

Definitely off road in crazy shit so sounds like the 4.10’s are the way to go. I read the tech forum on axle swaps already but for changing the gears from the 3.73 to 4.10 if I bought a rebuilt Dana 35 is it pretty expensive to have the gears swapped or what would be the least inexpensive way to upgrade stuff?

The pick n pulls around here don’t have anything to pick around here. Looks like I’ll have to get stuff shipped. Not sure if I should grab a Dana 35 ttb or bigger. Then there is always the straight axle swap too.

Right now I have to get brakes and everything swapped out on the front end which is upwards of 800$ and my rear end has about 1/2” of play in it so either my c clips came undone or my clutch packs are shot possibly worse. So not sure how much that’s going to cost.

At this point I’m wondering if the swap will cost as much you know. My backs destroyed at the moment so I can’t do the work myself.

I found a completely rebuilt 35 for 600 that I could drive 5-6 hours for but not sure if should with it having the 3.73 gears

I’ve got one of the 7.5 rear ends with 4.10 ratio but I want to swap that out as well if I’m going to have to replace a lot right now.

I’ve looked and the I can only find the 92 ranger front ends with 4.10 in Ohio or Pennsylvania and somewhere in Quebec. So it’s definitely farther then Oregon from Nevada..
