higher strand count gets you more than flexibility. the more strands, the more current it will carry. welding cable is great and rather expensive, but it gets you more current capacity and lower loss due to the more strands of wire inside a thick insulation jacket. i use 600 strand count welding wire. not cheap, but excellent in a dual battery hook up relocated to the bed in the pickup.
All i have ever seen is low strand count welding wire that is very cheap compared to car audio wire. Got a link to the wire your talking about? Im going to need some more 1/0 wire but dont feel like paying for more hyperflex wire.

wow, i bought it about 4 or 5 years ago on ebay and just held on to it thinking i'd use it some how, some day. i did and it is great! i got 2 lengths, 10ft long, one red, the other black. paid about $40 shipped if i remember right. the price was too good to pass up and it was made in the US, not china. sorry i can't help you more.

what most folks don't understand is that electrical current is carried on the OUTSIDE of the wire, NOT through the center of it. so, the more strands you have, the more surface area, thus, more current being carried. and good welding wire with it's thick insulating jacket makes it all that much better.

I bought that scosche cap and wiring kit 2 years ago. I beat the crap out of it and it still works awesome. It was super cheap too, something like $70 or $80 for a 600W kit.
