Hey all,

I was wondering, is it a good idea to cut off my cat and make my truck a true dual exhaust truck? Does anyone know the pros / cons? I'm also in a state that doesn't have emissions tests.

Do they have visual inspection for smog equipment?

don't matter ...... still illegal....... that being said, most of us have done it.


your truck is a 97? go with a highflow cat and a cat back dual.

Ya, you should have an O2 sensor after the cat. The engine will know if its not there.

And correct me if I am wrong, but true duals would require 2 cats.

That being said, for your truck true duals would need 2 high flow cats, an h or x pipe with the rear O2 sensor in the cross over, and 2 mufflers.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong
