I'll be looking for that video. Did you drive it yet or just run it in park?

No just ran it in park, it was getting dark when i got it going. I was surprised when it fired as easy as it did. As soon as the fuel hit the carb it fired up and ran nice, i do still have to adjust the idle a little it was a little slow.

Okay guys the video is uploading as I type to youtube. I did drive the truck around the house a couple times and it seems to drive nice. The power steering doesn't work it just squirts the fluid out through the fill tube. I didn't drive it in the video because there was no way I could drive the truck and hold my camera at the same time because of the power steering not working.

I don't think anyone was demanding proof that it runs.
It's actually not all that surprising that it would fire right up. Brand new carb, plus you went through the fuel system.
That thing sounds mean! Is there exhaust work in the future?
I'd get to the power steering first.

Ya'll wasn't demanding proof but the guys over on the POWERSTROKE forums were. The truck already has an aftermarket exhaust on it but yes I am looking at putting true duals on it in the future. Power steering will definitely be the next thing on my list.

did you get the title for it?
No title yet the lady is waiting on her son to get it for me. She says he knows where all the titles are for all the trucks behind her house.

Yes she also has a 1960 Ford F-250 4X4 straight Drive Flatbed, Old White/Freightliner Big Rig, International Big Rig, Peterbilt Big Rig, Allis-Chalmers Tractor, Old "Poppin" John Deere Tractor and none of them are for sale or anything. I got the only truck they were willing to let go. The big rigs are covered in some kind of vine and can't see anything but the front of the trucks. The tractors haven't been started or moved since the late 1990's

Hey guys just a little update on the truck: The power steering started working for me yesterday!! Everything seems to work well except the Radio and Horn

Here's a video driving the truck around a little in the yard. Its on some pretty rough terrain so the camera does move ALOT

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixLOUY55zEQ&feature=channel_video_title

Still don't know how to get the video to show on this site^^:icon_confused:

I know your pain. :bawling:
I feel your pain too guys!! That was the FIRST truck I went after but they wouldn't part with it for no amount of $$$. The built in step inside the door was completely gone and the front fender was rusted pretty bad. I don't know what engine was in it as I couldn't even see the front end of the truck for the Kudzu growing over the truck. The ENTIRE truck was covered in weeds and vines except the drivers door I cleared away the weeds to open it

Thank, I love these old Ford better than the new ones
