steering wheel swap

hello everyone I was wondering, if it was possible to swap out my steering wheel (2004, w/cruise control buttons) with a steering wheel from a 2007-2010 Ford Ranger? I looked at the steering wheel on the 2007's and they look identical. Does anyone know if the connectors are the same on the 2007 vs 2004. The reason I am needing to do a steering wheel replacement is that mine is severly worn out and has lost most of it padding beneath the leather. I found a few used leather steering wheel on Ebay but wasn't sure if it was compatible with my 04'

any input would be greatly appreciated.

go to ford and ask if the clock springs match for 2004 and 2007 if they do then the plugs are the same and the new steering wheel will bolt on
