Not sure, it started acting up again (kinda glad for troubleshooting) so I took the checkvalve out and it immediately worked again.
I did a little recon in the JY to see if I made the checkvalve thing up or what.
1970's boat - Checkvalve.
1986 F-150 - No checkvalve.
1992 Ranger (most similar to the '88 BII my system is out of) - Checkvalve
1993 Explorer - Really cute little checkvalve with fancy rubber elbows and thin plastic tubing.
So I don't really know what is right, as long as mine keeps up the good behavior I guess I won't worry about it too much.
