Man!! There are some stupid people in our world. Two grandparents (47-49) were arrested (both drunk) towing their 7 year old granddaughter behind their SUV with 2 dog leashes used as tow rope. They were only doing about 10-15 mph the cops say but they both got arrested. The kid was in a swimsuit and had no helmet. The grandmother was sitting in the back of the SUV with the hatch open yelling encouragement to the kid to hold on. The kid’s father was called at work to come pick up his kid and he had some choice words for his mother. He called her ‘F***ing stupid’ in front of the cops.

:shok: Sounds like fun to me... We always used a car hood or a good ol' cardboard box behind an ATV...or the occasional jonboat behind a Jeep. ;missingteeth;

As a grandparent I feel I should make a comment about this. What the hell were thinking, they should know a dog leash is not safe for towing anything.

I did worse stuff on my own. I'm not condoning the grandparent's actions, but the kid probably wasn't in any real danger. Scuffs, bruises, broken bones and scratches are all part of growing up. Younger ones are tougher, too. If a newborn gets their hand crushed, the bones will be all healed and fine in an amazing amount of time.

Really? No real danger of getting hit by a car or truck or bus? Really? Last year a 10 year old out boating whith her parantes stepped off the back of the boat and was killed by the prop. Think that is part of growing up??

Lol I did that exact same thing back in high school. I was driving the Explorer, towing my buddy on one of those little cars. Some old guy drove by and said the cops "should arrest your ass!" It's a miracle we all survived those years.

i wouldnt think it was a big deal if the grandparents werent drunk and pulling the kid next to an 5 or 6 lane road. the grandma was in the back, so he couldnt go under the car.
