My credo
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
I pulled up next to a B3000 tonight and noticed my truck is several inches higher. If we for the moment assume both were stock, is that possible? Like, different springs, or something? I think VIN tells springs... of course I have no way of knowing VIN of the other truck. Just curious, since I pulled up and was like, cool, another B3000, then I was like wow, his is quite a bit lower.

Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
The other owner could have lowered it. Was it 1" lower or like 4" lower? Quite a bit leaves it open to an unknown interpretation.

Your 235/75-15 tires are 29"
If he was running 26" thats 1.5" lower for the vehicle

Look at your rear axle springs, if you see a block between axle and spring that raise up the rear 1" to 2"

Look on drivers door label, back edge of drivers door, that has the spring codes

My spring code is DC. No blocks (and I wonder what is the reason for blocks anyway?). Wish I could give more info, but it was just a few seconds at a light, so I can't be more specific than to say it was 'noticeably' lower. The thing I wonder about is if you look at what is the distance from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender curve, roughly, mine is about 6", and it seems like some are less space there. I guess smaller diameter tire would do that, though I'm having a hard time getting my head around the geometry. If you even look at the pic of mine vs dvdswan's you can even see mine has more space there. I guess larger (wheel)/tire would do that, but I wonder why would someone go that route. It didn't look mod'd, but who knows. Mostly a matter of curiosity and learning. I like the way mine sets, and if you load up the back with a sh*tload of firewood you don't worry about it bottoming out or looking weird. Thanks to both!

EDIT: I guess what I'm thinking is, if you put on a larger diameter tire then it seems like you'd have less space between tire and fender, not more. That confuses me. Yes it would make the truck overall higher but it seems like you'd have the tires closer to the fenders.

Looks like front, D, are 5310, assuming codes are same for Ranger and B3000. Rear, C, would be 5560. I don't know what that tells me, but there they are. Thanks RonD. Pretty sure mine are stock, doesn't look like anything was messed with on the truck at all, from what I see.
