Hello everyone. I just bought a 1996 Ranger XLT Supercab two weeks ago. It has a 4.0L engine, a busted 5 speed 2WD manual trans is sitting in the bed. I have just today(!) sourced the correct transmission and transfer case from a gent in Tennessee who is swapping to a V8 (I wonder if he's a member here...) I am missing the front driveshaft still; otherwise I think I have all the *major* parts on hand now to put it back together, not counting the bald and flat tires that I would upgrade regardless.
My wife got it for me to be a work truck in my new trade as an electrician. Much more manly than our family minivan. ;-) I'm going to get it running, and then set it up to be a DD work truck that can also do the Trans-America Trail type stuff. Overlanding (fancy car camping) might be overselling it.
I've looked around here, but I can't find the stock specs for a front driveshaft. Can anyone send me a link to the length, U-joints, yokes or flanges, etc.? Thanks in advance!
