I'm looking to put some pizza cutters on my 94 Fordzda Branger.
Long story short, I'm looking for skinny options. Stock size is 265/75-15. Currently has 31x10.5-15 (same basic size).
I could keep the 31" diameter, but wouldn't mind adding some diameter to make my speedo more accurate. I am used to being off by a few mph, but anything up to 32" would close up that gap. Right now on the highway, at 75 indicated I'm actually going 71-72 GPS. No biggie, just letting you know that there is room to go bigger.
I love pizza cutters, but it seems that the A/T tires out there range from fat to obese. You can do wide or extremely wide. Any of the skinny options are usually E-range (215/85-16).
Goal is 80% street/rain/snow, 20% very light off-road, almost never mud/sand. I use the 4x4 to get in to a couple hunting camps and for heavier snow, which puts me squarely in the A/T category unless you can think of an A/S that could fill the bill. I put about 20k/year on my trucks and loud tires kinda suck.
When it comes to wheels, help me narrow down some 16" and 17" options from the junkyard. I know the 5x4.5 pattern was used on everything from Dodge to Bentley, so if you have a suggested tire size, throw out some suggestions for donors for the wheel as well
