Long story short I went out with some buddies a few weeks ago to a bonfire. The dirt road to get there was rough, I hauled ass now my oil pressure gauge stops working. I didn't crash or hit anything but the shock from hitting all of the bumps must have knocked something loose. I did it again last night and now my e brake light will flash on sometimes. They both work again after a second of lighting up so I'd imagine it's just a sensor but I wanna make sure that it's nothing else and I don't know where the sensors are to tighten or replace them.

The oil gauge went out on my 01 2.5 Ranger. The needle would bounce up & down& occasionally trip the "check gauges" light. I changed the sensor -it's on the head below the #4 intake port.

Didn't fix it, the gauge kept boucing up & down, finally one day it wrapped all the way around & the needle is stuck below the peg. The gauge itself is bad.

Could be the two large multi-pin connectors on the backside of the instrument cluster have jarred loose. The other option is the sending unit on the side of the block is failing. You can ground the sending unit wire with the ignition in the ON position, and the gauge should peg to test it for operation, I think.
