The only work ever on the engine was normal servicing. No part has ever failed.

For the last few years during cold mornings the engine would crank over and "partially" start. Meaning running poorly. I'd shut it off and then it would start immediately and run great all day.

Wednesday morning it only cranked and didn't attempt to start at all just as if there was not spark. It was about 55 degrees outside. After work it started right up.

This morning it started right up, same outside air temp. Ran great!

I'm wondering if the coolant temp sensor could be bad? Any thoughts?
