My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Welcome back. What's the problem with your 88? Someone can certainly help I'm sure, make a thread about it in the relevant section of the forum.

Welcome back to the forum

If 50/50 test gets it to fire, then spark and spark timing is OK, and if you seem to have fuel pressure, then injectors are not working
That's a computer issue, that's all the 1994 and earlier computers do is injector timing, some spark advance, but mainly injector timing at adjust air/fuel mix

Try unplugging the TPS(throttle sensor) as that can disable injectors if its shorted out inside

Open up computer and inspect it, and inspect it's connector and pins
Corrosion inside can disable functions, also check the capacitors, usually blue or black cylinders, these can leak and cause issues after 20+ years, under $5 to fix

Each injector gets 12volts key on and they share that one 12volt wire, red wire daisy chained from one injector to the next
You could test the easiest to get at injector for 12v, key on
Computer grounds an injector to open it, so make sure all computer grounds are grounded, no disconnected wires

My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
maybe clogged injectors or filter....or bad regulator? If starting fluid works, you have spark. Problem is fuel.
