Messing around with the truck some today. Some buddies of mine have put Plasti-Dip on their vehicles recently to see how different colors look. Very suprised how it actually just peels off if ya don't like it. So my hood and roof are real bad oxidized so I thought I'd throw some on to see what it looks like before paint later on. Doesn't look bad at all, kinda like it. Very easy to use as well. Gonna spray the roof this weekend too.

That Plasti-Dip is really cool from what people say. Are you painting it black when you do the actual painting?

I was thinking about doing it to my wheels, but for some reason I don't think it would look good on my stockers.

It looks great on wheels. Really easy just takes like 3-4 coats. I'm gonna do something along the lines of a black stripe down the middle of some sort when I paint

For some reason I don't think it would look very good on my stock wheels that I have, but I guess that's the good thing about Plasti dip. If I don't like it I can just take it off.

I'm interested in giving this a try on my own stuff, but I don't know anything about it. Is it rubber? Is it sprayed or brushed on? I may try to track some down tomorrow.

How are you applying it? The only Plastic-Dip I know of comes in a small can that you can dip your tool handles in and such.

That sounds like fun. I am definitely going to track down some of that for myself.

It's awesome, you can pretty much put it on anything, and you can take it off without leaving any residue at all.

If I can find some in white I can do my roof and hood on my truck and put off painting the whole rig for a while. I suppose black looks cool enough, though I'm sure it wouldn't help interior temperatures in the summer having a black roof.

So if it gets a chip/tear or whatever, will the whole thing start pealing off? how tough is the stuff? never even seen it. My curiosity is peaked lol.
