Drove a customers 04 explorer the other day and fell in love with the interior, now i want to find a wreck and pull it for my 99 project. how much modifying will i have to do.

thanks rsh. If I find one cheap I may see how much modifying it will reguire to get it looking right for fun. I like to try the impossible for the hell of it. just won't molest my dash in case I need it.

A LONG time ago, someone posted a late-model buildup where he transplanted all the Explorer electronics into a Ranger. Floor and overhead consoles, electronic climate control, power seats, the works. I don't remember if that included the dash itself. So it can be done. Get out your tape measure.

When I got my first Sport Trac in '05 the first thing I noticed was how much more comfy the seats were than the ones in my Ranger.
