Now that I have it all back together,I push the clutch and see the throw out pushing the pressure plate but my shifter won't move.
What did I do wrong?

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
When you removed the shifter before taking the transmission out, was the transmission in neutral? You may have to take the shifter out and make sure everything is properly lined up in the transmission before putting it back.

I was moving it so I could get to all the screws. I have never done this in my life so I have no idea what you mean. Lol. I don't know if I was in gear or not. How do I line stuff up?

Im not good at describing it. I just know it’s best to have it in neutral. Otherwise you have to put the shifter back n at exactly the same orientation it came out. Otherwise, it can’t move the shift rails properly. When it’s in neutral, all the shift rail doohickeys down in there are lined up together.

There are 3 shift rails
1-N-2
3-N-4
5-N-R
Each rail has a slot(N) that the shift arm can move forward or backward to select one of the gears on that rail

In Neutral ALL 3 slots(N's) are lined up in the center(no gear engaged), so shift arm can be moved back and forth sideways, the full distance, so it can select any of the slots/gears

Vehicle will also Roll in Neutral so be careful

More accurate looking down the shifter hole
R 4 2
NNN
5 3 1

Remember the shifting is reversed, left is right, up is down, lol
So moving the shift KNOB all the way left and up for 1st, is moving the far right shift rail down

I could be wrong... but the picture looks like it was in 2nd gear when you pulled the shifter.
