1/2 quart overfill on oil, should I be concerned or just drive it ?

Lead follow or get out of my way
Take the filter off and drain it... the half quart.

Never a good idea to run over full... unless it's a pretty good leaker anyway.

My credo
Grew up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s
It depends on how deep the pan is. Some vehicles can run and extra quart or half and not have issues. Some vehicles and you get the crank hitting the oil and frothing it up causing oil starvation and loss of HP from the crank slapping into the oil

I don't think I would be stressed out about 1/2 quart, the main issue should be the crankshaft hitting the oil level while driving. If after running for a couple minutes to fil the filter it is still within 1/4" or thereabouts on the dipstick of the full line you should be fine...
