Hey everyone

Alright, here is my problem. I know some will tell me to go another direction but im going with what I've got. Im looking to do a 2wd 351W conversion. My big problem is I see lots of 302's and they talk about clearance issues, even more clearance issues with the 351. I have a complete truck for parts and was wondering; Will my 351W mated to a C6 work or will I have to fab most of my project (firewall, crossmembers, etc) or change my tranny all together?? My parts truck is a 1980 F-150. This will be my first conversion. Im still debating on a body style (Lots of access to early 90's rangers). Any one have any suggestions? I've already read the thread on the conversion as well as looked into Advance Adaptors for mounts and exhaust. Im open to suggestions :) Thanks

Firewall and crossmembers will be fine as they are.

Only (main) difference with a 351 is exhaust manifolds/headers.

As for the exhaust/headers Im going to go with Advance Adaptors exhaust. It seems like the easiest way. One more thing, as for axles, can i run my 9'" in the back or will it be to wide? Can I counter the wide with positve offset wheels and tires? Or will the stock axle be enough? I've got about 2 months before I actually start project so, Im looking to get everything ready before hand.

I haven't seen the AA headers. As far as 9", they vary from 57" to 64" wide. Easest would be just use the stock 8.8L in most cases or the stronger Explorer rear end. Most use the Mustang GT motor mount from mid '80's. Lots of other things to consider, just read thru the tech library, most every thing there.

Foxbody GT CONVERTABLE mounts, they are same as the 94-95 SN-95 GT mounts (hard or soft top)
