I dont see it being a problem, look how much of a load most trailers are rated for, usually a 5 lug hub axle on a trailer is rated for at least 3500 pounds. A 2wd reg cab 4cyl ranger is around 3,000 pounds. Ive done it before without a issue and the ones I ran were a spoke-stlye wheel which I dont think is quite as strong as the solid style your interested in.
