Oooops. I meant to say," In need of ADVICE on my proposed project. "
Hello to everyone,
I currently own a 2009 Ford Ranger Supercab 2WD, 2.3L-4cyl , 4.10 w/ 5 spd auto. I would like some advise and opinions on my proposed set up. I plan to do the following:

-Install a 3" spindle lift and Add-a-leaf on the rear.
-Regear to 4.56.
-Install 31" (10.5x15) tires on my stock 15x7 factory rims.

My questions to all of you are:

-Will I be able to gain back my original performance with the 4.56 gear ratio and 31" tires?
-Is the existing automatic transmission and 2.3 L engine strong enough to handle 31" tires?
-Who out there has this kind of set up?

I would appreciate any advice, comments, and or insight.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this post.

Sincerely,

Esteban

sounds like a good set up to me. ur gearing shud feel pretty close to stock wit the 31's and 4.56s but it is still going to be more rolling resistance so u will feel a small loss in power over stock. as long as u do the re gear that tranny wont be workin much harder than the stock set up.

if you think about it the 31s arent much bigger than stock tires. the stock 235/75/15s on my truck are 29.5 inches tall, but i have a 3.0L v6 with .373s in the back and i have rolled 31s before and i couldnt really tell a difference....
