It is the general belief (believed to the same degree that most of us
will agree that water is wet or Ice is Cold), that "A4LD" and "good" is
a contradiction in terms.... and thus an oxymoron

The only A4LD I would personally trust is one I've tossed into the proper
lake in england and was given back to me along a woman who rises from
the water dressed in shimmering mail.

But if she gives me a choice between the trans and the sword she
can keep the trans.

Hello

Try to find a 94 4.0l Areostar for cheap that runs and drives. They had the strongest of the A4lds. Grab the transmission, cooler, and ps cooling tube, and all the lines. My 85 B2 is happy.
If you do get one for cheap there are other parts that will fit your B2.

Or go 5 speed.

You have to do a full teardown to change from 2wd to 4wd

You really just have to build it yourself...many transmission shops are just looking for easy money...a A4LD has to be done right
Yes there are better autos out there ... but you go to war with the army you got

90-94 with a 4.0l engine. Check the shift linkages, may be different.
