Basically any politician that insists we can switch to alternative forms of energy inside of ten years is either lying or needs to be frisked to find his crack pipe and then be arrested for possession of drug paraphenalia.
In ten years we can probably be able to tell when "alternative energy" will take over,
but it's my personal bet that for transportation fuel gasoline will account for atleast
half of our transportation fuel needs twenty years from now.
Yes, it will be heavily blended with other things, but....
the thing that irritates me at the moment are these TV adds advocating CNG as fuel for vehicles.
the part they IGNORE is that there are many places where you cannot drive a CNG fueled vehicle.
IF you try to drive one across ANY of the Hudson river crossings south of
the Tappan Zee Bridge you will be ARRESTED (Handcuffs, Mug shots Cavity
search, the works...) and you WILL be caught because CNG fueled vehicles
must by federal law be prominantly labeled.
