So I'm going against the grain here and I need a little help to finish out my build. I'm not looking to use any parts from my old ranger engine (I've read you can reuse the pumps and alternator)

Here's my engine: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=11752

306 crate motor from ford. I've got a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold and a Holley 570 Street Avenger carb.

Here's what I'm thinking for the front:

Pulleys: http://www.jegs.com/i/March-Performance/655/30140/10002/-1
Belt: http://www.jegs.com/i/Gates/465/K060755/10002/-1
Alt: http://www.jegs.com/i/March-Performance/655/P560/10002/-1
Power steering: http://www.jegs.com/i/AGR/012/809102/10002/-1
AC: http://www.jegs.com/i/Denso/313/471-8112/10002/-1

I was also considering using this MSD Ignition: http://www.amazon.com/MSD-Ignition-8352-Dist-289-302/dp/B000BYAO9W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366584651&sr=8-1&keywords=msd+8352

Now here's the kicker - that pulley system says "Must Use Electric Fuel Pump with Kits That Includes Power Steering" that really throws me for a loop because I can't use that distributor that I've read was a good choice.

Frankly, I've not looked into how I'm going to handle wiring but at this point I'm a bit lost on what to order next. I need something that's going to work for a carbureted setup but is simple enough I can install. If I go with that pulley setup and accessories, what are my options to do an electrice fuel pump that will work with a carb'd system?

Anyone gone down this route? Can anyone point me in the right direction with these choices?

A $40 Mr Gasket fuel pump. 12S or something like that is the part number, my local O'Reilly's had it in stock.

A member on here (baddad) recommended it to me, said it fed his 331 with ease.

You won't have room for a mechanical pump anyway because of your steering box.

For what your going to pay for all those accessories and parts, you just soon pull an efi motor with the harness and ECU and FEAD and use that. You'll be surprised at just how easy it will be to run efi...

I get that but it's just not really what I'm going for with this setup. This is a part of a frame-off restoration so I'm giving the engine just as much attention as the rest of the project.

Thanks for the tip. What did you end up using for your wiring harness/ecu etc.?
Im running a ported Edelbrock Air Gap RPM intake and a 750 Demon carb dialed in on the street with my wideband.

Thanks guys. Just ordered a water pump, pulley kit, alt, ac delete (will replace later) and power steering.

We'll see how it goes.
