Heard that 2001 ford ranger 4.0 intake can be upgraded from a taurus for more hp???

The Taurus never used a 4.0 engine. They used the 3.0 engine.

Dear Mom's 3.0l Vulcan V6 (I think) from her 1991Taurus GL isn't represented.

You're correct that the 3.0 Vulcan wasn't on 850's list for some reason.

I left off the 3.0 Vulcan, because @Dirtman already stated that fact, just didnt specify "Vulcan". The 3.0 Duratec just got missed. (sorry) I copied the list from Wikipedia.
