Any of the 4.0L OHV heads will work. The 95 and up heads have a different combustion chamber. Unless you know what your getting into I's stick with the early heads.
the only other engine that will bolt up to your transmission you don't really want. just get a newer set of heads for your 4.0L.......... or do a s/c saleen 5.4L swap with a mustangII front suspension conversion and r&p steering
i lied there is coolant in the oil. ugh hopefully i can hone the cylinders when i change the heads and get the rings to seat i refuse to rebuild this motor. i can get 250 bucks if i scrap it lol only payed 280 for it
true just figured it couldnt hurt since i have the hone. this is my first non chevy vehicle ive owned in 4 years and the first ford to be in this yard in 35 years.
change the heads, change the oil, run the engine for 2 or 3 hours (till it quits smoking) and then change the oil......... then beat it like a rented mule
