Hey guys. I'm looking to customize the lighting almost all the way around in my 2000 Ranger. I'm starting with the guage cluster. It looks like there are only 2 bulb sizes in it. Does anyone know what size the bulbs are? Apparently the size is a T#. But it seems once I know the size, there are numbers that signify the lumens within that size. Ultimately, I want to replace them all with omnidirectional blue LEDs. And have them be a step brighter than the factory bulbs.

Of course, if someone already knows what I need to know, I dont mind cheating and passing up on the research.

P.S.

One of the small bulbs has a slightly different clip. Does this change what build goes here?

Dang, my first thought was just tell the parts place you need some bulbs, but that was before I looked at the answers you may have already received. Now all I can suggest is to tell the parts place you need some bulbs :)
I have a shelf full of them here somewhere I bought several years ago and am yet to tear that dashboard apart :D

Have tried swapping Dash traditional IncaBulbs (Incandescents) for LEDS; okay at first, but quickly began flickering+failing,
Went back to IncaBulbs; happy as originals lasted 10yrs+ & these are now still good after nearly as long.
Don't trust the electronic driver components in LEDs; often too cheaply made; IncaBulbs are just dead simple\reliable.
But the 2 Bulb\LED base types needed are noted below; do let us know what specific LEDs you use & how long they last.

Dude, you are awesome! I looked high and low and could not find that much info. Yesterday I did get some info saying 194 and 74. Glad I saw this. 74 was apparently incorrect. And knowing the right wattage was one thing I never did find.

My boss used to work for a custom offroad shop. He told me where to find quality 360⁰ led bulbs. Now that I have the info, I'll have to ask him for the website again. I'll share it here after I talk to him tomorrow.

I suppose back bulbs are ones that press into the back with a little twist cap that locks it in place, noted above as T10 's These are 194's eh? I have 3 left of 5 bought it 2/15 for 2.95, and a ten pack box of Phillips, 3 shy of a full gauge cluster :/

What are "Duty Bulbs" ? T5mm

"Extremely Super Bright" is Not for me ;) I've done without them for 10 years, a candle light would suffice :D
To tell you the truth, I never did manage to get my speedo cable out of there.
While playing around at the Picker's yard I plum tore that cable from a 94 B4 Mazda, and have yet to get mine loose shy of dynamite. I did go ahead and grab the B4 Cluster, doesn't appear to be damaged but I never could bring myself to put that much pressure into releasing it.
Appears to be 16 of the T10s, and now I've come to the sad realization the small socket looking things are uhmm, sockets?! and I'm guessing it's the T5s that go in front

There a release latch on the bottom side of the cluster for the gear shift PRND21 cable if that what you had trouble with. Speedo is electric driven, so no cable for that on the Ford cluster.

Mine is stick and has the gear, I likely won't tackle it before getting the motor swapped and running, I don't have the T5 bulbs here anyway
