Well, i'm new to this site, so i guess i better introduce myself... my name is Jeff, i'm in the army, currently deployed to Afghanistan... back home, i have a 2006 Ranger Sport 4x4... she's my first pickup, and i love her! i am married, and wifey totally kicks ass because she's a truck chick! but her truck is nicer than mine... she's got a sweet f150 lariat crew cab 4x4... and the most awesome thing about wifey is that she encourages me to modify our trucks...

so without further ado, i'll post some stats about my truck, then a few pics... unfortunately, i dont have pics of the stereo install, i'll get them and post them when i go home on R&R in Jan.

Truck stats:
engine: 4.0L
trans: auto
drive: 4x4
cab: extended cab 4 door
color: white
int. color: black and tan

Stereo:
deck: pioneer direct ipod connection head unit
door speakers: poneer 3 way 6x8's
subs: two 10" rockford fosgate p1's in seperate sealed enclosures
amp: rockford fosgate P300-1 monoblock (with the little pre-eq dial thingie mounted on the dash)

Performance Upgrade:
K&N short ram intake (the plastic one, according to K&N, it performs better, and it also costs less)

Future Upgrades:
leveling kit
stock sized aftermarket rims (still undecided on what to get)
slightly larger, more aggressive tires (leaning towards Nitto TerraGrapplers)
shorty style headers
full header-back dual exhaust system with x pipe (gonna be a custom fab job, with MBRP mufflers)
possibly a rear disc conversion if i can figure out how to go about doing that

and now for the pics:

me installing the intake

my truck parked next to wifeys F150 (i call it sibling rivalry)

hey....as the others have said...welcome!!!!......and thanx for serving our country as well!!!!

now as for the mods....a TT and maybe a prekey mod ( not sure what the cut-off was on the keys so this may not be for you ) and you will be golden for some slightly larger tires....

if ya want more clearance, then a bodylift would be in order....

as for the rear discs, best and cheapest route is to get a 96+ Ex rear axle...have to put new shock mounts on her and spring perches....but again you would be golden...

there are plenty of us from West KY/ West Central TN that aren't far from you, Rick...RangerSVT is prolly closest and has the garage and tools for any mod ya wanna do to your truck....Jay..Jay94 is still stationed at Fort Campbell but will be retireing come March....and I am just up the road in Madisonville and goto Ft. Campbell often for loadouts..( plus you may have met me inadvertantly at the Croft if ya had anything goin to the railhead )

also, we like to go wheelin at Turkey Bay at LBL quite often, you may wanna come out for a run sometime...either with your truck on the trails or riding with someone....

again, welcome and thanx.....as well as hope to meet ya soon....

l8r, John

toe everyone who has repied so far, thanks...

to John, yes, i def. want to hit up turkey bay sometime, just havent really had a chance to. i have done some railhead ops before, so yes, we may have met... i plan on doing the tortion bar keys to level the truck off... and as far as i am concerned, body lifts are a nogo... i really want the dixon bros. long travel 4x4 kit, but funding is a concern there... between the wifey and my trucks, my truck is the play toy... her f150 is the "family truck" with the factory 20's and street tires... although we did use it to pull some knucklehead out of a ditch last winter... but yes, i'd love to meet up with ya sometime when i get home, and maybe go wheeling up at turkey bay... have a great day, and thanks once again

i know, right? i just priced out all the tools i'd need to weld up my own exhaust system, plus the muffler and the piping i'd need, and it's still cheaper to build my own than to buy gibsons dual sweptside cat back system... i love harbor freight!
