averaging 24MPG Canadian around town, got 28 round trip Kitchener to Burlington and back - 2 adults and 650 lb load on the uphill stretch home on Wednesday. 4 liter 5 speed longbox with cap
I am getting 17ish right now with the 4.0 in the truck. But I do a lot of stop and go, short trip, etc. Also, in all of it's various configurations over the years this truck has rarely seen anything much above 17.5.
17-18 with a mix of highway/traffic. 20-21 if all highway. Did once get as high as 24 on one trip. All I have is a drop-in K&N filter and tonneau cover, and use the cruise as much as possible. This is a bone stock truck as well.
15-20 depending on city or highway. 1998 4.0 4x4 5 spd extra cab. Bone stock except for 31's, manual hubs, leather seats (2000 Explorer) and about 1.25" of torsion bar crank.
22 in TN with 4x4 5spd, doesn't seem to matter how I drive it. It's kinda hard to take it easy though coming from a 2.3. It's so much more fun to use the pedal. BTW, Only got 18 with the 2.3 in a 2wd. (Note: 30's suck with 3.73s and 2.3)
