Can I bypass the Fuel canister on my 1989 5.0 bronco, I broke nipple off of it and can't find any where that has the canister. If so can someone explain how to bypass it Please. Thank you

Does it have 2 or 4 lines connected?

If 2 lines then just put an inline filter in its place

If 4 lines, then 2 are the Return lines to the tank, and they need to be connected together as well, but no pressure in these two lines, so metal pipe and clamps

It has 4 lines, so you say I can Bypass and it will not cause any problems doing so? Not sure how to connect the lines since all quick connects and finding which one is the pump ones . Appreciate your reply, Thank You

Iirc there are two smaller nipples. Those would be the return lines.

Ford fuel filters use Quick connects

Yes the out from tank hoses/connectors are larger

Return ends can be cut off and use metal tube, like brake line or ?? with matching ID to fit inside Return hose ends and hose clamp it, 0PSI, just has flow inside

These flexible fuel lines are Nylon, so soak ends in HOT water and end will get pliable to slide over connection then tighten up when it cools down, then clamp it
I don't recommend a heat gun or torch to heat up fuel lines, lol

You can do the same on the 40psi pressure hoses as well, just use barbed connectors, and I would double clamp them

Did the above, but still will not start. I changed fuel regulator checked fuel pressure from filter is well above 40 psi but from the fuel rail is under 40 psi. Any suggestions on why bronco will not start, seems to like wants to start but don't. It is a 1989 ford bronco 5.0 . and advise will be appreciated big time. Thank You

You only need above 10psi at the engine for it to start, not to run well but to start
above 25psi it will run well, 30-40psi its spec, assuming pre-1998 fuel system, 1998 and up need 55-65psi

Spray fuel into the engine, the 50/50 test
If it starts, runs and dies then fuel injectors are not working, assuming at least 10psi pressure
If it does not start then you have no spark

50/50, instant results
