@adsm08 @Dirtman

Does Forscan have the capability of resetting the battery monitor and battery life for a 2015 Ford Escape?

Battery died today... need to get a new one tomorrow but I really don't want to spend money for a dealer to install or reset thestupid thing.

If it does work, I will get the data cable off amazon this week.

Probably is the best answer I can give. Forscan does have battery monitor reset function in it but there are instances where for some reason they either forgot or otherwise just didn't add a certain service function onto a specific vehicle. For example I can do ABS bleeding on my fiesta but not on my ranger. The only way to be 100% sure is to plug it in and load the vehicles profile, or you can ask on the forscan forum, someone there might have a definitive answer.

There is also manual way to reset the monitor but I cannot remeber what the hell it is... I had to do it on my MKX once but cant figure out where I found the procedure. @adsm08 would probably know this.

No idea.

It should be able to, under the tests tab, (Wrench icon I think) but I'm not sure. Like Dirt said, stuff like that is hit or miss.

I ended up getting Forscan to be able to program keys. End up using it a lot when the simple code reader is not enough. Like when me and my one mechanic buddy got a Ranger in trade for putting an engine in another. The guy said this one we got had a bad motor and a good one came with it. It seemed to run ok, but not great. Code reader spit out nothing useful. Forscan said #4 injector not functioning. Turned out someone unclipped the wire. Plugged it in and it runs like a champ. So even if it doesn’t help with your current issue it may still prove useful
