Well I went to the dmv, to try and file for a lost tittle on the 84 ranger i bought this last weekend. I purchased it from the guy whose property it has been abandoned on for the last 6 years. Well the registered owner was a illegal immigrant from Mexico, and was deported six years ago, the dmv says i have to contact him, but they wont give me his name, and honestly it sounds just about useless to even try. So now i figure ill just part it out and scrap it, so now im gonna have a bunch of parts i don't need or want including a 2.0,4 speed manual trans, and a 7.5 rear end, and all the front end parts for a 84 ranger, gonna do a cab swap with my 83 since the 84 is in much nicer cond.
So my question is what would be a fair price to ask for on the drive train tranny is strong and smooth, rear end feels good, engine good and strong but will need rings, and possibly, valve guide seals, not lookin to get rich just a fair price to move them in this economy. Than to top it off i took my 83 to the insurance adjuster to have it inspected due to the accident i was in and they are sayin it will most likely be a total loss I shall build her bigger and badder she will never die
