Do you think I could replace the threaded pinch bolt on the D35 beam that holds the camber thingie (technical term) with a grade 8 nut and bolt? Would I be able to get enough pressure to pinch in the bushing? Refurbishing an old one and of course the pinch bolt is froze to the toes. If I have to drill it out I am just wondering if this would be a good solution?

You could... but probably easier to drill out the old bolt and clean up the threads and just use another metric bolt.
