Around here you are billed by the power company directly, becuase they are distributing the power, but you can tell them who you want to buy it from, i.e. who is generating the power.

My power bill comes from PSE&G, who own the power plant and the power lines. At least once a month someone knocks on my door trying to sell me power from a different company. I do not understand the logic of paying a third party middle man for the same thing from the same place, so I tell them the goat is in charge of the household finances and walk away. They have yet to convince goat to switch from PSE&G...
