I looked at energy suspension and searched E1296115R but it didnt come up with that part number as a fit for the 1987 ranger 4X4 2.9

So the E1296115R energy suspension isolators will fit the FOTZ-5A307-A (OEM) seats, correct. Dirty

I bought the springs and isolators for my 94 4.0L with a D35. You're asking my questions that I really can't give you a positive answer.

In the link I posted it has all the dimensions listed... you will have to measure I suppose.

I went to energy suspension web site, good stuff. They got the front sway bar bushings i need but cant seem to find the correct Isolator and seat from them. I PMed them, waiting for reply. Thanks Uncle Grump. Don't know if those springs will fit my 87 those are for a 94 with a D35, mine is a D28. Is it 4X4. Think the 2wd and 4wd have a different set up for the front end?

This truck I'm working on is a survivor. Seem everything so far is OEM except radius arm bushings and tires. sat for 15 years of its life.

The spring Tab just left of the alignment marks has to either be cut or bent downward in order for the spring to pop out. Anybody do this without spring compressors.

All i need now is the isolator.

Take all the weight off the suspension and support the frame... put a floor jack under the knuckle.... disconnect the shock... take the nut off the lower spring mount... lower the jack and allow knuckle to drop... bend the tab a smidge.... turn the spring out.

At least thats the way I did it last time. There should be no spring tension left pushing things apart so no spring compressor needed.

That's what i have, Waiting on isolators from energy suspension. That tech there got the part and measured it for me. Its 3.070 OD, 1.75 ID 5/8 H.

here is the homemade seat someone made out of the side wall of a tire. I know its been in there more than 13 years.

Most i can get is 1 inch of washers on the stud

these isolators are hard to find but not impossible, seems Moog is the manufacturer for the OEM isolator and seat. They fit perfect in the OEM spring and seat.

wasn't to bad of a job. This is the passenger side installed. Ordering sway bar bushings, looked pretty worn. Part Number on them is 5K486.
