NAPA says they're right for me and just checking here. I think there's only one kind of MM hub that fits. I could save maybe 25+ elsewhere but some would go to shipping plus nice to get local if it's relatively competitive. Usually NAPA is way high but not so much here.

iirc, Mile Marker made two versions, the regular and the heavy duty, but I don't remember part numbers for the two. I had the MM heavy duty ones on the 94 that I had and they worked fine for my needs but that truck never got any offroad action when I had it.

I can't find but one MM version.
Seems like I can get Warn 29071B, don't know what the B is. I wrote Warn to ask.
They're aluminum, I guess they all are? Why not steel, or does it matter?

So I think the 29071B would probably be the oem Warn hubs, right?
They are quite a bit more expensive than MM and I have no idea are they better.
Still looking for the Warn 37780, some people list them as in stock but when you ask they actually don't have them. I suppose you could find a Jeep and try to get good ones, but sounds like not worth it.

There was some talk in one of the articles about swapping to Dana 44 axles, but they are different diameter and different length I believe, that would be quite a project. The reason being then I think you can get nice Warn hubs for them, but sounds to me like something I wouldn't want to be doing.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I just did a search on Warn's website and 29071b comes up "no results". Not sure where you got the "b" from.

Honestly, for what you want to do, just find your best deal on the Warn 29071 or the Milemarkers and get the conversion kit and be done with it. I've gotten a lot of hard use with 35" tires out of both of those models. I think I just saw the Milemarker hubs on Amazon for $136 and the conversion kit for $57. That's going to be hard to beat for new parts. Or you could keep researching and overthinking it until the price goes up.

Four Wheel Drive Locking Hub - Warn BK 7451135 | Buy Online - NAPA Auto Parts (napaonline.com)

it's in "specs" (the b)
don't know if VMRS helps at all. NAPA could be fos it wouldn't be the first time they gave me the wrong part and claimed it'd fit.
it says chrome finish I have to think that's wrong I think you mentioned that in other thread.
-if- they are the ones I want guess I can order and take back if they're wrong, just not sure if the oem 29071 are better than MM or not because like I say they are pricey on the other hand I can't find the 29701's any other place yet.
NAPA is just about always totally high compared to other places.
Thanks and I agree. Question, can you actually get the 29701's anywhere? I kind of like it saying Warn on it, the name, plus, oem-type, but I realize that doesn't affect their performance it's just me.
Yeah I suppose price will go up when/if MM's get rare.
Still waiting on one place that claimed to have the 37780 but I'm willing to bet it's b.s. Waiting on Warn to tell me what's diff about the "b". Holiday so don't expect anything today.
Edit: if you search Warn for 29071 (without the b) it returns nothing, also.

Ok, well, I ordered the MM's and nut conversion kit per your good suggestion, $200 with tax. Not horrible.
428 hubs and 95-27997 conversion kit. Should be correct.
Then if I do locate the Jeep hubs if price is ok I might still get them but I think MM's will be fine and just as good as Ford oem Warns for half the price, if you can even get the oem's.
Had a line on the Jeep hubs for cut rate price of $70 so -if- they are really that and -if- they are in stock that's a no-brainer but I suspect it's bs like I said before.
If I ever did get the Jeep hubs nothing stops me from swapping them in, would need different conversion kit probably with them.
But you're right I've messed a long time with it and since MM are known and liked no reason to not save a bunch and just short circuit this, what has become, a project.
Didn't get the hub socket yet but it's been on order. That's at least commonly available.
Anything else I will need? In your experience.

I put those hubs on my 88 Bronco 2, they worked just fine. Course my Bronco 2 already had manual hubs, just had one that decided that it didn't feel like working anymore so I replaced them, and in the 5 years after they worked just fine every time I had to use the 4WD...granted I wasn't trying to rock crawl with it, or mud bog with it, they did as they were designed.
