as the title says im going to be buy a bronco II most likely after i go to look at it. its a 1989 with a V6 and says its fully loaded. the pics aren't that great but for 1600 with a skyjacker lift(dont know how much yet) i figure that aint bad. the main reason for buying is im to let my girlfriend drive my truck back and forth to school and i dont want to drive my mini cooper everyday and wont have to put regular plates on it(has antique plates) so ill buy this, and and drive it when shes driving my truck

OK so my MAIN question is what are the main area for rust and such other defects on these truck?
heres the craigslist link http://norfolk.craigslist.org/ctd/1581170119.html

Door-Jams........... rear fenders rust bad (rarely the front)

Inspect the rear hatch thoroughly.... they are fiberglass and tend to crack.

Well its got the 2.9, so it'll probably have lifter rattle, Check the oil. Beware if its fresh. Hopefully its a 5 spd w manual t case. The push button ones are a PITA. Most likely has the D28 front end and mitsu tranny. If auto it'll have the A4ld. Good luck with it and try to talk him down.

A BII would have to be in pristine condition for me to pay 1600 for one...

make sure it has the blue oval on the front. If it doesn't it might be fake.
