Im getting ready to change a core support on a 93 reg. cab ranger. I found a new after market core support for $60. Is the a deal? The local auto parts store said thay can only get rear cab bushings and thay are different. Im trying to avoid going the the stealer ship.

Are thay different?

Can i make them work?

Does any one know where i can find some for cheap?

Are you changing your core support because of rust or an accident?

The rear cab bushings are taller than the front ones. If they're polyurethane, you could cut them to size and make em work in the front (i guess you could do this if they're rubber too, but it'd suck.

Also, the stock mounts use real funky (and very expensive bolts). I just replaced mine with grade 8 bolts and wide & thick washers.

I got/did a full set of james duff mounts a while ago. they were $80 or 90 bucks.

jeffs bronco graveyard has the same thing for $60. i'm gonna pick up a set of these for my dd soon

if you have original cab mounts, they're probly toast so i'd say change em all, anyways

Rust and decinigration. The others are intact but not the best. When i first got it the rear cab mounts were rusted off the frame and i made new and welded on.

Is it worth it to get a stick of polyurathane and cut/drill my own? Ive cobled a few tricks like that before. I havent check prices at the dealer or for a stick. Has any one else done it?

Nows the time to upgrade to poly. Kits run really cheap.
