I'm thinking of getting either the pro-comp or the L&L ladder bars cause since I put the 302/c-4 in it I am scared to death of wrapping the axle......anybody got any thoughts???

good simple way to keep the axle from torquing really bad, they just dont allow you to flex worth a damn

I have the type of traction bars that is a single rod running from the top of the axle to the front spring mounting bracket. Keeps axle wrap under control and doesn't hinder flex too much...

Is that the one from jc whitney your talking about? I was wondering if that would actually help me, i have 4 1/2" blocks:icon_surprised: on my truck. I have some home made ones that go under the rear sitting in my garage, i just need someone wiht better welding skills :icon_welder:to get them finished.

I wouldn't get chrome ones, I've heard too many horror stories of people chroming a suspension component that goes thru a lot of stress (not just a show car) and the part failing because of what I was told that the the chrome makes the metal brittle.

You say this like there is catastrophic consequences.....

I know it's not enjoyable, and hard on springs, mounts, and hardware. But does it result in some sort of massive bad failure?
I have been trying to imagine one for myself aswell, as I am approaching the end of my 5.0L install and I run 2" blocks right now. For all the negative attitude towards blocks I actually like mine. They keep my springs up and out of the way for log/rock crawling, and just result in a tidy'er look from the side that I really like.

I always thought these things would interfere with flex thought, and flex DOES matter to me, alot.
