I just changed out my old 88 A4ld with 175k for one out of a 1992 explorer 4.0. According to the guy, it only has about 20k before it got smacked. The rest has 180k. I got everything from the radiator to the transfer case and most of the harness with the brain. I'll rebuild it later
The swap went as well as expected but............ No OD. Set the bands for the 4.0 due to shudder. All connectors are the same as my 2.9. The question is: Can I just swap the brain to get OD. I've swaped radiators and coolers, installed a new 180^ t-stat and sending unit to get it up to temp. (still below zero for low) I've read somewhere the EEC IV can be flashed to erase all parimeters ?????
