u have to meet the tire height requirement only, lift is all gravy, the largest acutal tire diameter is 38 u can have on the street, if ur grandfathered in with the lift u just gotta have 38's on it, im not bothering with it anyways LOLMhughes hate to burst your bubble and bring you the bad news. BUT they've changed it. When the trucks comes up for inspection again it has to be to code with everything with the new law's. My uncle just went through this and he tried to fight it and lost. He built a 88 f250 and had a total of 14 inches of lift with 44's and had it grand fathered in he had it off the road since he got it grandfathered and and put it back on the road almost a year ago and when he went to get a new sticker they tried to fail him for being to tall and he has all the paper work and all from being grandfathered in. They said that now its changed and when the vehicle is due for new inspection it has to be to code with the new laws. Hopefully you might get lucky and they might let it slide but I doubt it.
