Hi everyone, i am doing something different. I had a 2.8 v6 out of a 1975 mustang in the model t that was very tired.

I have owned a number of explorers over the years with 4 liters in them. Very reliable and more then enough power for me. I stumbled across a 1992 ranger 2 wheel drive with a 4 liter, and a4ld trans. Stripped the engine/trans, engine/trans harness, and as much of the complete harness as i could out of the ranger.
I am in need of a wiring diagram for the ranger as i want to use as much of the complete harness as possible, existing harness in the T was done in the late 70's and needs replacement.
I have scoured the net and can find bits and pieces but not enough. Can anyone help?
Thx in advance
Steve

Give me a few days to work on some stuff. I may be able to scan the entire EVTM for a similar model year.

Welcome to TRS :)

NICE vehicle, I love Red Rangers but Red "T" is good too

It uses the EEC-IV computer(PCM) for fuel injection so wiring won't be overly complicated

There was a separate EDIS-6 module, was on rad support of the Ranger, its the Spark/ignition control
It has 3 parts
EDIS-6 module
Coil Pack
Crank sensor/tone wheel

Tone wheel is on crank pulley, crank sensor bolts to engine front cover, crank sensor reads the wheel as crank turns, this times the Spark
EDIS then sends that spark timing to PCM for injector timing
Crank sensor is about the only sensor that can cause a No Start, but they rarely fail

1992 PCM uses Batch fire not sequential fuel injection
Each injector will have 1 Red wire, its 12volts with key on, and daisy chains from one injector to the next
Then there will be 2 wires from PCM, to Ground injectors, Batch fire opens 3 injectors at the same time(on V6), 2 on one bank and one on the other bank, odd numbered(1,3,5), then next revolution it changes to other wire and opens Even numbered injectors(2,4,6)

Thank you. I have the engine and trans in, just swapped out the pinto diff for a 1995 mustang 7.5 with disk brakes. Starting on the wiring next.

Thanks for the reply, I did not have that one yet.
