The trick is I can't open the door. A few days ago the handles (both inside and out) stopped working on my drivers door. I know where all the screws and such (at least pretty sure) are and they are removed (except there are a few up front that are not accessible with the door closed).

I can't seem to get the back (the half closest to the rear) to come off and I know there are no screws left. I need to at least get the back off to see if I can get the door open far enough to remove it completely and fix the problem hopefully without breaking it (though I will if I can't figure it out) as I'm tired of climbing out the window or passenger door.

My Son's got my 97 CR-V at the moment, drivin it to work *Wally World* with FS signs in it to see if I get any bites on it. So at the moment, I can't go look to see if I could help ya...........but are you able to see the latch with the rear door open to stick a long flat screwdriver in & trip it or ????

Just a thought!:icon_confused:

Door panels are usually held in with plastic fasteners on the back of the panel. You either gently* pry them loose, or if it's like a Ranger, you lift the panel straight up to sort of unhook it.

*When I say gently, I mean tug hard to get those bastards out but be careful not to break the panel

I've tried pulling on it (broke the armrest off in the process but that's no biggie) but there is really nothing to grab ahold of nor is there much space with the door closed. I've always pulled door panels by grabing the edge where it meets the door to pry it off but I can't get to that part.
