so check for continuity between pin 23 and the sensor connector?

does the knock sensor wire have a plug up by the coil on the drivers fenderwell that connects to the main harness

Yes. I replaced everything from there to the sensor itself.

yea my meter would not go high enuf the schematic shows it as a resistor probably up in the 100,000 ohm range

yea i grounded it and checked at the sensor connector disconnect the bat first

highest setting on mine is 2000k

I went through and tested every wire guess i`m a little anal that way but i did find a short check for continuity then for a short

negative? positive? both? does it matter?

i used a small nail and a wire to ground the connectors

it really dont matter ur just using the truck ground to complete the circuit

what your doing is creating a short in the wire on one end and testing for a short on the other
