2.9 engine miss?

My brother is like allways sayin get a new truck I`m like If I had a new truck then what would I have to work on

so true! I waited a long time to have another BII. Old, needs work, kinda ugly.....and I enjoy it so much more than the "nicer" trucks I have owned.

so to break it down....."hot" goes to 23 and ground/neutral goes to 46

what i did unplug the batt just in case then ground the 23 wire at the computer then go to the sensor connector and check for a short + to wire - to ground

ahh. ok. Haven't done a lot of this type of testing. Good to learn.

then disconnect the ground at the comp connector and check it again for a short I just twisted a wire on a small nail to stick in the computer connector and screwed it to a good ground on the chassis somewhere

And as you said before...It HAS to be this damn sensor. what the heck else is there.

and it's ohms I am checking, right? wouldn't be volts with no power...

once you get the basics you can get creative like jumper between the two pins at the computer connector the go to the same wires at the other end but always check for shorts too

yes never check ohms with the batt connected I learned in the army electricity flows from neg to positive but you check for shorts from positive to negative
